Transformer Description:
Excitation transformer is a device specifically designed to provide three-phase AC excitation power for the generator excitation system, usually connected to the generator outlet. Due to the high output voltage of the generator and the low rated voltage of the excitation system, a step-down transformer is required.
Excitation transformers are mainly divided into four types according to insulation methods:
(1) Epoxy resin cast dry-type transformer.
(2) Alkali free fiberglass winding immersed dry-type transformer.
(3) MORA type dry-type transformer.
(4) Oil immersed transformer.
Transformer Features:

Transformer Applications:
Excitation transformer is a device specifically designed to provide three-phase AC excitation power for the generator excitation system, mainly used to control and start the electromagnetic field of the generator. The following are the application scenarios of excitation transformers:
1- In large-scale power generation equipment such as thermal power plants, wind farms, and hydropower stations, excitation transformers are usually required. The excitation transformer can control the current and voltage output of the generator by changing the magnetic flux, thereby achieving the regulation and stability of the power system.
2- Excitation transformers are mainly used as excitation power sources in power systems to control and start the electromagnetic field of generators. The stability and accuracy of its output voltage have an important impact on the operation of the generator, the stability and quality of the output voltage.
3- Excitation transformers play an important role in the power system, providing a stable excitation power source to ensure the normal operation of equipment such as generators and transformers.
