The overall system composed of substations of various voltage levels and transmission and distribution lines in the power system is called the power grid. It consists of three units: transformation, transmission, and distribution.

Voltage Levels
In the voltage levels of transmission and distribution, 6, 10, 20, 35, and 66 kV are medium voltage, 110 and 220 kV are high voltage, 330, 500, and 750 kV are ultra-high voltage, and DC 800 kV and AC 1000 kV and above are extra-high voltage.
