INTRODUCTION OF PAD MOUNTED TRANSFORMER
Pad Mounted Transformer (PMT), also known as Pad mount transformer or combination transformer, has a series of significant features:
• Small investment, small footprint, convenient installation and maintenance
• Protective devices and measuring instruments can be installed as needed.
• All charged parts are inside the box, with no exposed charged parts, effectively preventing small animals from invading.
• No need for a distribution room, it can be directly placed indoors or outdoors, as well as on both sides of the street and within green belts, ensuring personal safety.

CONSTRUCTION OF PADMOUNT DISTRIBUTION TRANSFORMER
• The transformer doors are design to equip with the latch in the open position. Each door is designed to open 180°.
• All compartment door latching bolts are designed to self-aligning, captive, PENTAHEAD and be in accordance with Figure 1 of IEEE C57.12.28™-2014
• The transformer connection compartment is designed to arrange so that the high-voltage section is separated from the low-voltage section by a vertical steel barrier.
• The coolant fluids are optional for mineral insulating oil or a natural ester seed oil like FR3 Vegetable oil.
• Transformers using a natural ester insulating fluid are designed to 10°C over the traditional 65°C limits provide:
The average winding temperature rise will not lower than75°C,
The hot-spot temperature rise shall will not over 90°C
• All Bay-O-Nets are equipped with oil drip and could provide a sample of its proposed drip shield to Electric Distribution Standards.
• A gang-operated tap changer and/or dual voltage switch will be hook stick operable and located at an accessible point (does not require reaching behind cable to operate) in the high voltage compartment.
• The Bay-O-Net fuse holder shall be load-break rated and suitable for operation at overload temperatures. On transformers where Bay-O-Net fusing is not available, supply an internal cartridge fuse.
